I have already joined an excellent seo company and they are doing their job on my site since the past long time and I am extremely happy with the seo thing. I would be careful of article directories. Recently, I read an article (I think it was on SEOmoz) that Google has changed the way websites are ranked in search engines. You can still use them but don't depend on them.
