I have a insurance website that makes no money. How can I market it so I get visitors?

What type of promotions are you doing for this site, and are you targeting long tail keywords?

Build links on regular basis, that will help you to get some traffic, hence some clients too.

I once read on flippa that someone was driving lots of traffic through articles. Does this sound right?
Organically it would take a lot of work to rank high for a insurance site. So it would have to be some type of indirect traffic

Facebook ads? You can target your demographics and I invested $10 in advertising to appeal to 20k viewers in a targeted demographic which ended up paying me $500 in sales. I may try $100 next time for the next ad campaign.

Could you tell us more about your website. What does it offer?

If I new how much you earn per sale I could figure out the best methods of promotion for you. Is it a CPA offer? Affiliate product? Adsense? Please specify.

If you need any help just send me a PM (private message)

I do suggest you use pay per click for your first month or so. this is to get your site going. As it builds, let them subscribe to your e-mails. You can get them coming back again. Next, use the social networks. Search Engine Optimization is good as well. However, you'll need to outsource back link building and content creation or you'll have a hard time creating so much content. Hope this helps. :)
