do you really think you are going to use up all 50gb space? If you need that much space you should look for a good VPS because they usually give you dedicated space -

what's your budget? You shouldn't jump straight to 50gb if you are just starting out, if you already have a site that uses up actual 50gb of space then I'd recommend you go with a vps - it's your best bet to keeping things reliable considering it's an ecommerce site that supposed to make you money :)

magentocomerce has own support forums and I assume that issue has been disscussed there already and you can visit it for more information

@serverpoint. Its not true. I've used a few web hosting providers and it seems that they do not support magento in a way.

I've been on TMD for almost 6 months now and is pretty good. I actually used their 1-click installer (name of server software escapes me at the moment) to install magento. This was my first magento install that wasn't a complete headache. Here's a link to their magento page: http://tmdhosting.com/magento-hosting.html

Hi. If some one is looking hosting for Magento, I can recommend http://www.webhost.uk.net. I used Simple Servers before and it was ok and they had good customer service, but today there is no service at all. This was the reason for moving.
Now I'm with Webhost.uk.net and the service is fantastic. They transferred everything over for free within 24h, answers to emails I got within 30 min and last email was answered 23.40!!!
Before ordering I was little worried as there wasn't many reviews about Webhost (I found 3 or 4, all good) and only one mentioned that the speed is good (this was most important for me).
Now I'm really glad I moved as the speed is much more better compare to Simple Servers. You can check the links below and feel it your self :) (I have Linux Reseller Gold package)
