Need List of FREE Directories for a Submission Tracker

We're building a list of directories for inclusion into a Directory Submission Tracker. Right now, we are only adding free directories and by free, we mean completely free with no conditions such as reciprocal link.

Here are some things to consider before adding a directory to the list.

• Must be a completely free directory.
• Must offer a direct link and not a redirect.
• Home page must have page rank.
• Must have search utility (some directories don't have a search bar).
• Must have search utility that works (More info below).

The directories that we are including must have a search feature that works well. Some directories have a search bar but when you type in domain.com for example it's not even able to bring the result from its own index.

The automatic inclusion check uses their search to be able to check if domain.com exists. Once you find out if the site has pagerank and that it's completely free you need to check if the search works.

Find a listing within the directory and highlight domain.com, then paste it into the search bar and see if it brings back a result. If the directory cannot find the result then you know that the search doesn't work. Once the directory qualifies and everything works you can post the details here for us to include into the directory submission tracker tool.

We intend to add more (paid) directories later, but want to frontload it with what webmasters will most want first - freebies

If you have a directory or know of one that meets the aforementioned criteria, please do a verity check with the guidelines listed, and then list it here for inclusion into the tool.

You won't be able to see or use the tool if you're not a registered member, but here's a snapshot of the directory submission tracker tool.

"Completely Free"? Most free directories have pay options or at least a link back option.

 

I have registered with the forums there, it seems nice tool saving time of webmasters.

Hmm, that tool does look very similar to my own directory tracker tool

Not that its a bad thing though, you will have different directories, and a little competion is always welcome.

I have actually been using your tracker for some time and think it's a fabulous tool.

I don't own Total Web Talk, but do help out there and have taken this particular tool under my wing so to speak.

Please take this as a complete compliment - when the forum owner was looking to expand the tools area, I actually recommended a directory tracker because I was a user of your tool and realized that there are few like it on the Internet. So in essence, you were the inspiration for this one!

Does this tool also submit to those directories or just track it?

 

No it doesn't submit for you, but it does provide a link to the directory, and if you have something like mystikmedia form filler tool it really speeds the process - also, after you've submitted you can check the appropriate block and save your work and then run an inclusion check later to see if it's been picked up.

No problem. That would be a cool hack for later, but not sure how well or easy that would integrate.

Thanks but that diretory doesn't meet any of the aforementioned prerequisites beyond the fact that it's on free hosting, has popups and other issues.
