    Hi All,

I got a website selling promotional products for different businesses across Australia. The site has already got high authority backlinks and it is well optimised. Now my question is,

What Off-page activity I should do that will bring all my keywords in top 5 positions in Google Australia?

Please guide me with your valuable suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Kpathak.

Build even more quality backlinks to your website, targeting your keywords in the anchor text, just keep doing that for all of your keywords/target pages and you'll see a raise in your rankings sooner or later. Have you checked out the competition for each keyword? I'd recommend starting with an easy keyword before moving onto a harder one.

Add 5-10 forum/blog comments with your keywords in the anchor text of your name/signature every single day. You should really do this for each of your targeted keywords. Over a year you'll have 1800-3600 quality links to your site. Consistency is key. As mentioned, you should also do some very thorough research on your keywords and know exactly how many backlinks you'll need to compete for the top spot.

Research your competition and decide on what keywords you want to boost, then contact some sites that are relevant to your own and ask for a link exchange.

I agree with linksdirect, you really need to analyze and research your competition and decide which angle you are going to take to make your website come up for the industry your trying to come up in. I've always found my best links when reverse engineering the competition.

First of all use Firefox as your browser, and install SeoQuake – for free. This way you will be able to see the PR (page rank) of all websites.

After installing SeoQuake go to Google.com and type in ‘your main keyword + forums’. You’ll see the PR of all sites listed, and this way you’ll be able to find the forums that have a high PR. You should sign in and leave a few comments daily.

Repeat the same procedure for finding high PR blogs for commenting, about your niche. Type on Google ‘your main keyword + blogs’, and you’ll see a list of blogs on your niche. Leave comments at blogs with a high PR.

This is a tiring and time consuming activity, but it works for getting traffic and a better ranking.

Totally agree, competition research is very important, as some of the keyword have high search with low competition. If you targeted wrongly, a keyword with low search and high competition, which mean you wasting effort for non productive work. You can simply get the info through Google Adword tool.

Very true, thanks for adding that. Also for all to note, when analyzing traffic for keywords, make sure you put your keywords in brackets so that Googles Keyword checker is checking only that keyword/phrase and not all related terms like so: [my keywords]
