Has anyone here been successful with selling their valuable website? I have a website that I want to sell for about 18X revenues, placing the value in the $65K-$90K range. It derives all of its traffic from competitive Google keywords, and revenue is through both Adsense and affiliate referrals. I cannot give the URL at this point in this thread. What I want to know are these: How likely is it that I will find a buyer for my site? Do they have any recommendations for brokers or other means of finding a buyer?
In order for us to answer you first question (how likely is it to find a buyer), we would at least need to know the segment you're in. If it's a popular segment...then people will pay 18X Revenue. For other segments, some will pay 10-12. It really depends. Can you share any more information?
The site is a marketing site for a high tech electronic item. There is plenty of competition among Adsense advertisers in this sector, and a strong, profitable market. This market would probably be considered competitive among those involved. I feel that many buyers might be more willing to get into this type of widely advertised market, rather than a [niche] market consisting of a site theme that is totally obscure and completely foreign to them. Often I see niche sites that apparently create significant revenue, but they are based upon some topic that I would normally never even consider as a moneymaking theme.
why do you want to sell such a good site? think about hiring a student who takes care of it you you may get a steady income, I have seen many like you, who sold their good money making sites and after doing that, they realized that they made a big mistake.....
