Need info on exporting database please

Guys ..hi , i have a site i purchased for someone, its on a cpanel and im dumfounded why this cpanel doesnt have a option to backup database .So if i export from php admin will it leave the database on the server ? would it prompt me to copy to my pc? if so i dont know where to go from there really can someone give me some guidance please ? thanks

 

its in the phpmyadmn > select the database , check all the tables and export as sql

 

go to backup and see there is option to take backups

 

There is no backup option , as i said ........would exporting it leave a copy on the server ?

 

Nope. It will prompt you to save file on PC.

 

Cpanel > Databases > PHPMyAdmin > Click on the DB you want to export > Click Export in the top menu > Select the tables you want to export ( probably all ) > Tick 'Save as file' > Click 'Go'

 

after taking backup , check all and delete. simple
