Hi all. I need some info and I hope this is the right section. We all see people sell graphics stuff, ebook, script, template, turkey website and other webmaster resources and I was wondering if I can do a website where I put stuff like that to download all for free. I have more than 20gb of stuff that I bought or I found for free and I would like to put all online in a website so more people can download and use it. In some of them there are resell rights and in other no but I downloaded for free. I mean if you write an ebook and you sell it and I buy it (or if you just give it for free) and then I put it to download in my website for free can I have problem with you for that? I know you cant resell something if you dont have reseller rights, but what about give them for free? Please let me know and sorry if my english is not perfect I hope you will understand
Well in some there are resell rights, but in some there arent resell right but I downloaded from other websites for free. However I write in the first page: "We are not the owner or the creator of eveything is in here so we cant provide assistance for install script or else, and if you are the owner of something is in here and we are breaking some copyright please send us a message and we will remove that product immediately" because in some product the resell right miss at all and I dont know if they are copywrighted ot not. You think is ok if I write this in the first page or I can still have problem?
If it doesn't say you have the right to give it away, you are breaking the law. If you downloaded it illegally you, and the owner of the site you downloaded the ebooks from, are breaking the law. As such, I would not recommend you follow this idea.
ok so is better or me just put stuf with reseller rights. However I never download illegal this stuff, a lot of them come from this forum in the freebies section
Well, a lot of the stuff in this forum's freebie section isn't necessarily legit, so don't just take someone's word in a forum that they had the right to give it away and so do you. Also, don't assume reseller rights means you can give it away. Each product will have its own license. Some allow you to sell it, but not give it away for nothing. Others require that you charge a minimum price for it. You'll have to read them all individually.
Ill start to put just graphic freebies with no copywright and then little by little Ill put more stuff, what about the database? I have some you can already find for free in other website. I dont know in the other country but here in Italy if I want to sell something(even if it cost 1 cents) I have to pay taxes for it and declare how much I earn and a lot of bla bla bla, and I saw many people seling stuff even if they really cant, so if we all should follow what the law say Im in the wright spot more than them, However I will always leave in the first page an indication for the "possible" owner of something I can put in, because as I said in some case is impossible to estabilish if that thing have copywright or not, because a lot of people create script or other stuff and give it for free!
