Hey Guys, I really need everyones input on this so please review the facts below and let me know what you think. The basic situation is I used to rank well for a bunch of terms but just today I lost almost all my rankings. There were a few changes made on the site and I'm not sure which one it could be. Please share your views. 1. A site that used to rank well was recently added on my site as a link partner (maybe few weeks ago) Recently it seems that he lost all his rankings and was actually deindexed by google. Is it possible I lost all my rankings because I was linking to his site? In addition I had the rel="nofollow" on his link the WHOLE time. 2. I recently switched from Google Adsense to YPN. 3. About 3-4 days ago I added about 10 text links on the homepage that goto different parts of MY site so they are internal links although the href contains the FULL URL path to get to that part of my page. Each of these links repeat a certain phrase so for example: Bla1 XXX XXXX, Super XXX XXXX (The X = the repeated words) 4. I switched a few Azoogle CPA ads from the homepage into a YPN ad unit. 5. (This change was made I'd say a month or so ago) I added link exchange script so basically people can exchange links with my site, as a result they get 2 links sitewide on my site. Those links disappear when I send them an equal amount of traffic they have sent me. These links are all tagged with rel="nofollow" as the purpose is for a traffic trade. Please share your views.
There's no way google will penalise you for no-follow links. Irrelevant Internal Links are fine Should not have anything to do with serps This might be the problem. Otherwise, it is content problems. Hope this helps. Col
it is also possible that some of the sites are having bad history for google and you are having backlinks from that sites....
