I see PR should be fine from all of the work you've done. - Maybe try buying advertising space from other popular game sites? (maybe picture ads).. - Pay bloggers to blog about your site
If the game is original and innovative, contact game and gadget related blogs, magazines and even TV shows. Or how about making a video of an expert playing the game, and sticking it on YouTube?

writing articles should help you well. Write review-like articles about the gamoes you most like or that are very popular. Also criticize the bad ones. Send the articles to many article directories and yuo'll be getting new backlinks steadily over the next months.
