I am in the middle of a major redesign of my arcade site and would like help with ideas/suggestions for new features to include, I am looking for things that have either never been done or at least never been done right. Please post or pm any ideas and THANKS for helping out!
Well... what about adding highscore games? Dont think there is any arcade which has that apart from arcades built directly in forum communities so I would void those out. Plus another tip: If your talking about the arcade site in your signature, change the layout to a unique design since its too similar to others.
Thanks Advoor, Yes I have already incorporated a high score feature in the redesign and I am developing a new template also. Anyone else have any ideas!.
I would suggest adding a cool banner. One you made yourself or one that you have made that and ad placement are two major things you need to look at when re-vamping your site! rpgraid.com is a site of mine ( just put it up 2 days ago) and I think it looks good (I added a fourm as you may want to do as well which helps get traffic to stay at your site) If you need help with anything just pm me or IM me on MSN i wouldn't mind helping.
Working on new banners also, still undecided if I will go with a static one or flash? and I have already added a forum, just have not opened it to the public yet.
In the past, I've offered cash prizes for the top players, for the top referrers, etc.Worked well IMO. Making somehting unique for an arcade is hard. if I think of somehting I'll let you know.. Good luck!
