Hi, I need an idea for my domain http://www.towntalkers.com Originally it was a classified ads website but it crashed. I don't know what to put on it now. I would like to do something similar that involves multiple cities across the U.S. I'm open to any ideas and considerations. Also, any good scripts are open for suggestion. I need something that is easy to manage but can contain a lot of pages. Thanks.
What about one of those sites where readers review different businesses in their towns? I think the businesses pay for the service, but I'm not sure. I worked for a site like that once, doing reviews, and got paid like 50 cents each. I made about 30 dollars in a day or two.
I really like that idea. That's a good one. Give me some more details if possible. Any others? Update: Along these lines, I was also just thinking maybe something specific such as restaurants.
have a site where people can post good and bad things they like about their town. social sites are the future ($$$$)
The problem maybe is that the scope of the site, or at least the domain name, is too narrow and wide at the same time. Narrow because towns usually have small populations that don't really need the net in order for people to interact with each other. Too wide because what towns of which country will it cover? I suggest that you determine your target market first. Then, you can work your way from there. I'll try to suggest more along the way.
Maybe you can make a site where people can make short videos about their town/city and share it whit others.
That's pretty much what i'm going for.. where the visitors add the content. They can talk about restaurants, radio, events... ect. I need a good way to implement this idea.. please keep suggestions coming. I appreciate it a lot! also when I do settle on an idea I will begin with one or maybe a few cities at first.
something like "best place for a weekend" or a friday night" then have pictures of those places and visitors can also upload their own pictures for it. pictures are worth a thousand words..
