    Hi,
My blog is http://techbongo.blogspot.com which is under construction. I was searching blogger gadget directory for a hit counter. But I found no such gadget. I need a basic visitor counter/hit counter gadget to track my visitors.

why do you want other people to see your visitor stats? why don't you just use google analytics?

How to use that with blogger. I've often seen lot of adwords ads are linking to pages which contains a GET variable gclid. Is this, because those pages are used in google analytics?

you just set up an analytics account, get your code, and paste it in the footer section of your template. it's very easy and it's a very powerful tool. i also use sitemeter i don't want people looking at my stats and also don't want the button to be visible to the public so i use a number counter but make it the same color as my background. i like sitemeter because it's really easy to get a quick snapshot of your stats. analytics requires a little more digging to get the same data.

    BD90 said it.

Also, I'd suggest not using one of those. Keep your traffic stats to yourself. I would only put a hit counter if you're getting a LOT of traffic. Otherwise, it just looks bad.

Think of it like this; if you visited a website that has, for example, 140 hits, what would you think? I don't know how many hits your website gets -- that was just an example.

Thank you all for your replies.

@Behman: I've seen lot of sites who are configuring their hit counters, so that they start counting from some 1,00,000 or even more :)
