Need HIGH TRAFFIC to use Affiliate Marketing?

    Hi there,

I'm considering using an affiliate to promote my site (recommendations VERY welcome!) and am keen to know if traffic is an issue? I have a great product but as it's a competitive market (and my site's new), my traffic is still quite low. Is this an issue? Would an Affiliate Marketer take my product on?

Any ideas / thoughts / comments hugely appreciated :0)

    It is always about traffic.
    More traffic more sales
YOu can use article marketing, PPC, video marketing, SEO,
    blogging, etc
You can have blog to promote your website.
If you have blog, you can download FREE RSS Software for your blog (get it
from my signature link) to appear on 1st page of Google.
    :)

More TARGETED traffic is the key, we should say. If you can attract 10 near-certain cutomers per day and "convert" them for a commission of $10 each, then you can be happy! Certainly better than having 1000 visitors a day, most of whom aren't interested and selling one thing for $10 (though some months I'd be happy with that)!

But to a certain extent there's no getting away from it - if you want more sales you need more traffic...!

affiliate marketing unfortunately is not cheap though. if you have the resources to make sure you can pay the commissions to each affiliate who does drive traffic to your site, as well as any fees to the network (in this case CJ), then it's definetely a viable option for you.

the great thing about affiliate marketing is that you only pay for when an action you determine occurs. so basically, the costs should therefore justify the additional traffic and revenue for your site.

having said that though, to answer your questions in a different way, from y experience, i've only been with CJ as an advertiser for about 3 weeks, close to a month. since then, the amount of clicks to us have increased ALOT, however, the amount of sales although looks good, i think can be improved still. that being said, it's all about conversion rate. for me, i have a huge increase in clicks, but the increase in sales have been decent but could be better.

as a side note, for you to have an increase in both clicks and/or sales, you really need to heavily promote your site to the affiliates and to offer them promotions and be in constant communication with them. basically, your site may just be sitting there for them to get to while they promote other sites, unless you constantly communicate with them asking them to actively promote you.
