I just created this blog using godaddy. Before I creaated, I did not realize about the google ads shown on the top of the page. That looks awful to me.

Anyone knows how to avoid those ads from there or perhaps replace the ads with mine ??

    Your help is much appreciated.

Godaddy put them there, you are stuck.
Try going into your cpanel, and check the header files, see if they are shown there.
Maybe then you can remove them.

Yet another reason I avoid godaddy!

I looked at their hosting plans page, and saw that all their plans come with no advertisements. Are you using the free service or something?

Hmm. That bar says you're hosted free on Godaddy. I didn't know they offered a free option. As long as that's there Adsense TOS bars you from putting your own ads beneath (not even one).

If you really are going for a free host (Ugh), try blogger, I suppose.

if you're going to use a free host... and you've paid the money for the domain... and you're really concerned about price... I'd look at some uber cheap hosts... you'll get what you pay for, but I've had relativlly good experience with globedomain.com... they were very shakey for a while after they were bought out by acunett, but I think they've got it worked out... they're $5 a year plan would probably do ya for a while.

    edit:

all that said, i don't put anything mission critical on my reseller account there... after thinking about it, if you want I can probably host you for free on that account... I'm pretty sure that I've got tons of room and space... but my support to you would be minimal at best :)
