i have question

domain name definetly effect search engine rankings


if im targetting "online games"
onlinegames.com is a better domain or
online-games.com

For me onlinegames.com is always better any day

 

I personally don't like the hyphen .

 

if you are asking for seo, both will have same importance but people will not remember the domains with -

 

without the hyphen is better because it is easier for your visitors to remember.....both are the same in terms of SEO

 

Trichnosis says it vey well. They do not remember your name with -

 

I Thought both of domains is good for SEO... but if you want a catchy-eye you can choose onlinegames.com ...

Here we go again...

People will remember onlinegames.com easier but the search engines will treat online-games as two separate keywords. Frankly, unless your domain name is hard for a search engine spider to figure out (like expertsexchange.com - is it "Experts Exchange" or is it "Expert Sex Change" ?) go with whichever you feel is best. I personally prefer the former, but again, if you're not sure how a search engine will treat the domain name (as with the example above) then go with the latter (just don't overuse it).
