It depends, generally speaking if your site is important to you, its best to host your site with a paid host. However if free hosting is your only option, then i guess free will have to do.

Free host can be an option if you are experimenting online. If you are serious for quality you should choose cheap web hosting instead of free services.

Free hosting will certainly work for you, but don't expect the uptime or support to be top notch, because free hosting generally does not guarantee either.

If you expect good uptime and/or support, go for paid hosting with a reliable provider.

When you are ready to move to paid hosting make sure that the host you choose has migration assistance available. Most good paid host will offer cPanel to cpanel migration for free.

And that's part of the problem with Byet...they don't use cPanel. Good luck when it comes time to migrate to paid hosting, as most hosts aren't going to touch their custom panel to try to move your material over. That's the bad part of using providers with custom control panels.

I would not suggest a free hosting unless its really just for testing. I saw this time after time, free hosting losing data. And even if its a personal website and nothing serious, the minute you invested time in it, its your time that its at risk. If they lose your data or something happens you cannot claim anything on a free hosting. If you are just a little, but just little bit serious you would get a paid hosting, even a very cheap one.

If you have planned to well establish your forum, then it's clear that you have to move in with paid hosting. Free services have their own limitations and it helps only for the beginners. It doesn't mean that you have to go with high paid services, just try with the service providers who provide reliable service at lowest cost. Compare their services, hosting features, cost and the reviews given by the users.

All these specifications will help you to find a better web hosting provider. Try to host your forums with a trusted and reliable service provider sooner.
