You can again achieve a good rank position by doing quality link building and collect backlinks by participating in forum posting and blog commenting and also check your on page like keywords, content and descriptions.
quality seo work could get your ranking back as past.. if you stop the activity of promotion then surely you are going to fall in rankings.. continuous seo is only solution to the problem...
Are you sure that you have been completely ethical in your SEO campaign? If as you say, you were at the top of page 2 one day and then not in the top 100 pages the next, it sounds lt sounds like you have been penalized for something.
As above, sandbox sounds the most likely culprit. What did you use to get the SEO rankings you claim in the first place? Did you do it yourself or pay a company to do it for you?
