So i'm talking to a guy about buying this:

He claims he can transfer the license by just editing the URL for the website. I do not want to have to do an official transfer as it could take up to a week, could someone tell me what to do?

 

Just by changing the URL, doesn't mean you own it. I would buy a vB4 Forum License instead.

 

Thanks for the information. I bought a vb4 Suite license for cheap! Just gotta transfer it now

 

Keep in mind that the vB4x licenses only can be transferred once, maybe another under 'special consideration', but they definetly cant be flipped around.


edit to add - I wouldnt rely on a transfer just by editing the url, I would most certainly follow through with vB support to get it legally transferred, or it may not be considered a valid change of ownership.
