    Hey everyone,
    I have a quick question.

Yesterday, I set up a campaign for my weight loss product.
I set the budget to $10 a day, with the highest CPC of $0.30 - the traffic estimator estimated ~60-100 clicks a day.

Although in reality I've only received 1 click over the past 24 hours.

Also it says that there have been a total impressions of 1000 of my ad. does that mean my ad was placed on the first page for those 1000 impressions,
or does google also count the impressions where your ad doesnt actually display on the first page?
at the moment my ctr is 0.09% - that doesnt seem right considering my ad offers a free e-book plus a free e-book offer.

    So what's going on here?

Well it depends on the words you use in your Ad.

It should attract users to click on the ad. I took one week for me to reach a CTR of 1.5-2%

Impressions are counted no matter what page your ad is shown on.

A good click through is around 2%, HOWEVER

Better to have a 1% click through on prequalified clickers than a 2% on non....

    Example:
'Get your free ebook on widget making' might get a good click through, but suppose they have to register to get the free book. A good portion of people clicking through might not be willing to register.

    So go with:
"Register to get your free ebook on widget making' This is a prequal ad - tells the clicker what he or she is going to have to do to get the ebook - no surprises. Might get lower clicks, but more sign ups since people know what is in store for them on the other side of the click.

Also, think about *where* you're advertising ... opt out of "Content Network" and only have your campaigns showing in Google Search and you may find your CTR climb higher. Turn "Content Network" back on when you've verified your results.

(You can find this under your Campaign / Edit Campaign Settings option)

    Hope this helps

    Regards
    Howard
