I have blogged for about a year now on blogspot and now I am thinking of moving to something professional.I am a student from India and blog in my spare time and holidays.

I was thinking of moving to wordpress but I don't know coding for wordpress.I have tried my hands at free blog from wordpress but am thinking of moving to a host probably hostgator and domain from godaddy.

But I am not sure if I will be able to understand wordpress coding(although I am ready to learn). But first I want to try my hands on something which is free or for a nominal cost.

If it is not possible then should I choose hatchling or baby from hostgator.I would probably start with one blog and after 6 months will move on to make more blogs.

    Thanks in advance.

No coding experience necessary to use a self-hosted WordPress blog. Just install and start blogging.

Agreed, the themes are easy to install, plugins just take a click or two and setting up the configuration. Almost everything on WP has a easy to use interface.

You'll probably only need to know coding if you want to create a theme for WP or if you plan on heavily customizing your theme. Even then, it's pretty straight forward as long as you have a basic understanding of HTML.

    Best of luck,
    Dan

Its easy to start a wordpress blog. No coding required.
However you will need to learn it if you need to edit the themes by yourself or edit some plugins and all.
You can easily learn all that.

hostmonster all the time! You can't beat their offer - unlimited domains hosted, unlimited bnadwidth, unlimited hosting space, etc.
As opposed with duckling or hatchling with only 1 domain hosted.

From your cpanel you can instal your wordpress blog with the click of the mouse.
