i was checking these two tools http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal i search "web design" in both but wordtracker shows 4189 google shows 2,240,000 can anyone explain what is this. Thanks

Wordtracker bases its results on insignificant search engines and then multiplies the results according to the major search engines shares of the market....Basically Wordtracker estimates an awful lot which isn't good. The Google tool bases results from Google which is where you should focus because Google is the most important search engine and the search engine the average consumer uses. One word of advice, if you are looking at doing promotion in web design, whether it be affiliate marketing or adsense etc, the area is very competitive with a lot of people knowing with they are doing when it comes to SEO. Obviously you don't have too much of an understanding otherwise you wouldn't have asked this question (no insult meant)....So why dont you focus on more niche related? You will go further and it isn't too hard to succeed.
