Hi, I am trying to edit/post a new blog post but unfortunately I cant see the TinyMCE editor missing there and the content box is white - No text in the box are visible. I have 5 WP blogs installed in the same VPS all those blogs are having the same issue. I have tried in many ways by uninstalling plugins and upgrading the wordpress but all failed. Is there any clue where it was stucked? In the blog post page it shows "switchEditors is undefined" in the statusbar error. Please help. Thanks Mohammed
Mohammed, it sounds like you have some corrupt files. My first question would be, is this happening in all web browsers or just one.
You need to confirm thats the problem didnt come from your server. Some problems detected in wordpress tinymce, its because the file permission problem (chmod and group setting). 0. My suggestion, check install new fresh Wordpress version in the server. See if the tinyMCE working on it. 1. Some problem because plugin conflict. Try to deactivate plugin one by one to see the effect, if not got to next step, 2. another problems, maybe because the corrupt tinyMCE on your wordpress installation. Try to copy the new one. 3. And maybe also some corrupt in includes file that related to post editor (wp-admin/include). So, my final suggestion, 4. Delete folder "wp-admin" and "wp-iclude" (yes, its the easier, and perfect for lazy developer), clear all cache files in server,.. and reupload the new fresh "wp-admin" and "wp-include" . WARNING : If you have tweaked files in thats folder, so BACK UP it first. Hope thats help.
Thanks to @danniboi33 I have tested in firefox and IE7 it shows the same. Thanks to @leksa I have tried all your four points but still no success. I have reported this problem to my hosting support they are working on that, let me wait and see their reply.
Can you send me a link to the site. Also, if you create a temp login for me, I can probably help fix the issue. I build and maintain wordpress sites for a living.
