Hi guys, my xampp has been useless for weeks & You have always led me back on the path & I thank you in advance. I was determined to conquer this on my own but all this trial error & reading hundreds of posts I haven't quite made it. ====================================================== here is the message at the bottom of the control panel before startup of the server: =================================================================== here is the error log: ================================================================== and this display when I click on the servicers. mysql stays on and apache shuts off immediatey: =
Hi! If you have the standard configuration of XAMPP, just backup your work and reinstall XAMPP. This is the easiest way. The hard way, backup your httpd.conf and replace it with a standard one. Good luck!
thanks for the help. one more question, please: ****the same location as config.sample.inc.php ???? ****
My "config.inc.php" is located in "Phpmyadmin" folder and it contains the settings of phpmyadmin(connection type, user, password e.t.c.). This file does not affect your apache server, my advise was to look for "httpd.conf" which is located in Apache\conf directory. If i didn't understand your question, please don't mind me.
That's some sound advice my friend, as to starting over. I did several times, several versions, just chasing my tail. This all started a few weeks ago when executing my programs just resulted in displayed php code. I finally, today got a working xampp system. I was too optimistic & entered 1.27.0.0.1,recreated databases & tables, exported & imported. Then I tried it and got just code. You were right about the Skype and I admit I was aware of the issue but I've never had skype on this machine - I do now! I don't know what it came in with but I haven't been able to get rid of it. I tried to uninstall it from the control panel and unlike other files I don't want, it says my installer is bad. just wanted to say thanks.
Got rid of Skype but same results. Below is last part of Apache error log ,below that a port check, if that helps: : ====================================================== All other ports are free
