Need Help With WP Blog

Discussion in 'HTML & Website Design' started by fuzzykno, Jan 7, 2008.

I changed my template earlier today and when I was looking around checking my blog I realized my categories no longer link to my posts. I know they did at one time although not sure when or why this error occurred. I did try to go back to my old template but had no luck with that.

Any ideas on what went wrong or how to fix it?

Paypal me $10 and I'll correct the issue for you. I maintain several WP blogs and I'm pretty confident I could resolve the issue within 10-15 minutes of logging in. See my iTrader profile - 0 negative feedback.

Did you make a back-up before changing the template?

No offense, but if you're interested in fixing the issue yourself, why post requesting help? If you obtain help, you're not fixing the problem yourself?

What I meant was I would like to do the work myself since if I just let someone fix it for me then I wouldn't have any clue how to fix it in the future if the same type of problem came up. I can't learn if I allow others to do everything for me.

I do appreciate your offer though.

It seems like a problems with your .httaccess
go to Options / Permalinks and use the default links to see if you can see your posts again.

Almost there. I see you still have issues with your templates under Categories.

Making SEF links on wordpress is pretty easy. Just go to Options / Permalinks / Custom, specify below
    and place /%postname%/

when done, copy the httaccess code wordpress shows and place it in your .httaccess

    Regards
