Please help me as I am new at this. I have just obtained a wordpress cms site with a rar database and have a shared hostgator account. My question is how do I install it on Hostgator? When I called Hostgator they were not very helpful!
I'm not a programmer or anything, but I've never heard of a rar database? A rar file is like a zip file that you have to unzip. Hope that helps!
Mmm is it just the database thats rar'ed? If so you would unzip it and import the .sql file in phpmyadmin, which you would find through your hosts control panel. So you need to setup a new database, keep not of the database name, username, password. Make the changes to config.php, save those changes, upload the whole thing via ftp.
