I need help getting some graphics for my site. I have boxes on the left right and center of my page. i would like to add graphics to make those boxes look better. especially in the title portion. I thought that if i get photo shop then I would be able to do anything but i cant figure out how to use the thing. Are there free web art sites where i can get graphics that looks appropriate for a computer e-commerce website? my site is http://icmelectronics.com. Are there any suggestions?

Try a stock images site, Photos.com & Shutterstock.com are some good ones.

    Hey Cray820,

If you are looking for free graphics do a search in your favorite search engine for "free graphics" and a whole lot of them will show up. The hardest part is that the free sites are not very well laid out so you will have to sort through a lot to find what you need.... but they are there! If you would like an easier solution and only pay about a buck per picture or graphic you use try www.veer.com. I use them pretty much exclusively because its dirt cheap and laid out great. (no i am not making anything for suggeswting, i really use them)

As far as photo shop, being a website owner it will become essential that you learn how to edit in it so i would suggest going to www.vtc.com and signing up for their $30 a month subscription plan. Its an online training program for just about any type software you want to learn and the videos are great. I have used them for a long time now and have never been disappointed. (again, just referring, no money)

    I hope that helps!
    Peace,
    Jai

be wary of free graphics and copyright issues. Just because they say FREE doesn't necessarily mean they are.

You may be able to use them on a personal site but incorporating them in a site you receive money for or a commercial site is a big no no.

I generally use istockphoto. Buy a few images and use them freely anywhere.
