    Hi Friends,
I have "deluxe" hosting account with godaddy that supports the following:

    Linux
    Plan Features
    • 100 GB Space
    • 1,000 GB Transfer
    • 1,000 Email Accounts
    Unlimited websites
    • FREE! Software
    • 25 MySQL Databases
    • Unlimited Email Forwards

I had one site hosted on it for 1 year but that site is almost dead now.I am planning to launch a new website that would include a SMF forum, a wordpress blog, Gallery 2 photo section and a Video section. I do not have much experience with bandwidth, space etc needed....

So,do you think I can host the new site on the same hosting account. If the site does good and I get some revenue then I can buy a VPS account. But please suggest would the site be able to start up and perform properly speed-wise say for the first 2-3 months assuming 1000 registered users are there with 100 videos and 500 photos on the site for assumption....

please throw some light..I would realli realli appreciate it.

    Cheers

There is no way to know that, that is determined more by any limits put into place by the host, the software/OS the host uses, the hardware of the server and if the server is overloaded. Bandwidth and HD space has little to nothing to do with speeds.

    Thanks for the reply,
The O.S is Linux...and I don't think GoDaddy guys would share the hardware details and I would need to upgrade my hosting account from shared to VPS,in order to know that....i guess.

Since,I don't know the future of the website..I was thinking i could wait for 2-3 months and depending upon the response take appropriate action.

My main concern is to know whether my website is slow or the hosting service is making it appear slow.

    any help???
