I am looking for some opinions on the value (if any) for the following domains. 8XV.NET (3 years) CAMERA-DIGITAL.NET (30.4 m global and 24.9m monthly searches according to Google adword keywords for exact words "camera-digital" with hyphen in exact order... Not sure if that is worth anything??) Forgot to add: EGPT.ORG and INFO (a very very common misspelling of Egypt) Type in those exact letters on Google and it takes you straight to Egypt. I am not sure if that is worth developing or not. Google keywords has it at 27.1 k Global and 6.6k local monthly searches for exact word. Looks like I was wrong about who owned trademarks. Apparently Apple has settled their law suites and now own the trademarks and it looks like CAHG never applied for the TM for Kinect. Win one for Microsoft on that one but they still wont own Kinect.com...LOL Thank you in advance for your help in deciding what to do with these domains. Cheers Zorlock Removed from appraisal consideration: (too bad) kinectgame.com kinectaccessories.com iPhone4discounts.com iPhone4charger.net
you have a lot here. I will start from top to bottom. 8xv.net is a nice CCC. I have seen a few go in the low XXX I really like Camera-Digital.net. That is keyword rich and very high search for those keywords. I wouldn't sell it. if I where you I would develop the site and go for the money that way. Undeveloped, I would say mid XXX maybe high XXX to the right deveoper because of the keywords. If it was .com, you would see a lot more then that. Egpt is a very common expression of Egypt and you are right about Goggling it. .Org and .Info is what is holding me back. Ok lets break this down. 1) its a nice LLLL 2) very usable and common misspelling 3) Geo names have been becoming increasingly popular lately. As far as .org and .info, they play nicely off each other for an informative possibly travel arrangement site potential to the right person. I would say mid to high XX for both. I cant say about the kinect sites however, iPhone sites are still selling on Ebay (oddly enough not pulled for TM infringement like other domains) I have also witnessed iphoneaccessories.com sell for over 20k (keep your hopes up for the kinect) and still iphone sites are up and running for years. I dont know if Apple cares or not. Only because some of those sites with iPhone in the name have been running for years will I make this opinion. iPhone4discounts.com high XX to the right developer iPhone4charger.net low XXX to an aftermarket developer.
Thank you for your input. I pretty sure that these sites may be trademark issues so I dont know if they are worth evaluating. kinectgame.com kinectaccessories.com iPhone4discounts.com iPhone4charger.net I will have to read the rules about trade marks. I could be wrong but as long as you put the proper entitlement line at the bottom of your site stating that blah blah blah is a registered trademark of company blah blah blah, there should be no problem but I will read more into that. Cheers and thank you
I may have to re-evaluate the way I have been looking at domains. I have read some of your comments on other posts and you got me to think and do a little "homework". I have all to often just stated that a site is worthless because of perceived TM issues instead of actually learning what constitutes TM infringement. Thank you for opening my eyes. I may have some work ahead of me but at least I wont take the easy way out and just lump every domain into TM issue.
