Hi All, I am doing seo on one keyword related to solar systems. My target region is Australia. I have tried almost all off-page task such as Directory submission, social bookmarking, forum posting,blog comment,article submission etc for this keyword. But still not able to reach on top 5 position in google.com.au. Please give me some tips on how I can get to top position in google. Please help me with that. Thank you. -Kpathak
The local ranking SEO is slightly different from global SEO. To rank better in Google Australia (google.com.au) try this: - Go to the G Webmaster Tools and geo-target your site to Australia. This tells Google where you are based. - If you provide contact data, make sure that the address is clearly identified as being in Australia (Google recognizes those). If you provide a telephone, make sure you have the international format with the Australian dialing code. All these are localization signals. - If you have a physical address, make sure that you add it to Google Maps with your keywords in it. - Add your site to LOCAL directories (not global ones) - Get LOCAL links (form .au sites) With all this, Google will identify you as being a local provider, and you will score better in google.com.au, which is the Google to which everybody is redirected by default in Australia.
