I have created a new site for a friend. It automatically generates a sitemap. When I log into google.com/webmasters/sitemap, I can see a whole bunch of not found errors. They all have some strange url like this: http://www.example.com/hfxsdzhfqhnovxn.html (example.com being a replacement for the actual domain). I checked the sitemap, but those things do not show up. Usually in the overview google also shows if it found this link in the sitemap or not. Well, my sitemap is clean, but I am still getting these errors. I checked for links by searching for http://www.example.com/hfxsdzhfqhnovxn.html, which came up empty. So I am wondering where these things are coming from? Is something wrong with the google spider? I don't see any of this on my sites either. I would appreciate any tips? Has anyone seen this kind of thing before?
