I've got 60 Mp4 videos uploaded onto Amazon S3, and am using S3Flowshield (it's a wordpress video player / works off of flowplayer and a simple shortcode) I want someone to add the videos onto wordpres for me and find a way to improve load time! (without having to lose any quality). the videos are about 30-60 megs each. and take between 15 - 30+ seconds to load. I want it to start playing instantly. Think you can help? I'll pay you $35
Improving the load time is impossible without lowering the video quality.It will improve only if you move on a fastest port and probably on a most powerfull server.
As CodeBeast said, you'll need to lower the video quality. Why don't you use this plugin: http://flowplayer.org/plugins/streaming/bwcheck.html - it'll change what quality of video is depending on the speed of the user. So someone with fast broadband will get a high quality stream, slow broadband get's low quality stream. This may be just because of your internet connection. Send me the URL and I'll tell you if it's slow (I have a 50Mb fiber connection) for me as well. I can certainly add the videos if you want, even transcode them to lower qualities if you want, get it touch!
