Hey, i have been updating my blog for quite some time now and im hardly getting any traffic, any help please with marketing it? I have tried digg and stumble upon but they need alot of votes for the traffic and mostly other popular sites gets dugg... ill be glad if anyone who has a formula 1 site or can help getting traffic could help... Thanks. Link is in footer.
maybe you could join some forums and do some forum postings. submit some articles to ezinearticles.com. Create some videos and upload to youtube and link back to your sites. building free traffic is a long term strategies, if you're looking for quick traffic, try PPC on Google Adwords or Facebook Ads. Just my thoughts. By the way, your site looks great, but are you only monetize from Google Adsense?
I think that you have a website for a very small market. Especially one that doesn't really use the Internet. According to the stats... when you type formula1 racing in search engines an average of 4 people look it up a day on Google 1 on Yahoo and no where else So, unfortunately .. you are probably doing the best you can
@ iwilberin5, thanks alot, yeah im using Google Adsense @factchecker, there are many many popular formula 1 sites, i know the market is a little small but there are really popular blogs!
What is it that will make your blog different than the others? If nothing.... then there would be no reason for people to come to your site. If there is something different, then you need to capitalize on those features.
my blog is not just a news blog, i will be adding my review to it... a personal touch. i havnt found other blogs doing it..
fatchecker where are you getting your stats from? I think you should check again... Glock, how are you planning to make money from your site? What do you want to get out of it? And of course, what do you want your visitors to get out of it?
@ianthekisser i have placed Google ads on the site, but im not concentrating on gettin money out of but build visitors nd subscribers.
Glock, you have been given several good suggestions here. I think factchecker is exactly right about offering something different than eveyrone else. You need to have a Unique Selling Proposition (USP). I recommend the book Cunningly Clever Marketing for anyone with a website business. There some great stuff in it on positioning yourself in you market.
factchecker does have a point. You need to offer something they can't get elsewhere or think they can't get elsewhere. It's as simple as that. And it has to be something they would really value. Running a successful site will cost you time and money. You have to factor that in. You don't necessarily have to buy links. In fact it's not something I would recommend. If you are really dedicated to making your site a success PM me and I will see if I can help you create a solid plan.
Then find some money and use it. IMO, you'll waste a year or so just hoping for your site to take off when spending a few bucks will improve your growth.
With all due respect Glock hasn't structured what he is doing. If he just goes out and buys links etc. even if gets traffic then what?
You can use facebook and twitter for faster traffic. Also you should make backlinks for your website and optimize all pages to be search engine friendly. Also link exchange with related sites can be useful if you do it a little.
That's true about offering something different but don't visitors need to find your site before they can see what your offering?
