Hey guys, it's been a veryyyy lonnnnnnnnnnng time since I posted here and because Hostgator forced an update to PHP 7.4, all my web directories using PHPLD got screwed up, I just need to install the latest version actually but I cannot ! Is David Duval still here and could you give me a hand ? Anybody experiencing the same issue ? Anyway I'm so glad Digital Point is till around Nostalgia
Hi, David hasn't been around for a while. You're probably better wading through the code to find the code that is out of date and replacing it with the more up to date commands. It won't be hard but it will take time and be messy. We're here to help!!!
Hello there, thanks for the help even though I'm sure it's useless... Since my web host updated the php version from 5.x to 7.x everything is broken. I tried to fix it but couldn't ! Anyway I'm so glad Digital Point is still here, so many memories
Useless in a way that it's done... phpld is done, I tried everything, and I'm a noob at programming, I was saying that for the whole thing not for the gentle person trying to help me... If David is still around please contact me ! Cheers
If your site is massive and you don't have time to manually convert every page, look into a php 5 to 7 converter bridge (don't remember the exact name). It's not an ideal solution, but it works. It's a bridge that converts _mysql functions to _mysqli. Normally, it's just one php page. You upload it to where your index file is and then call it with an include on every page.
I have the same issue. Posted a support ticket at https://www.phplinkdirectory.com/ and was willing to pay. 32 days now and no reply. I guess it has ended ..... shame as my site was still ticking over nicely
Thanks a lot for your help guys, qwikad.com do you know how to do that by any chance ? That'd be awesome really, I will look in that way anyway, I don't want to delete my websites, i worked hundreds of hours on them !!! Don't give up guys theres a solution obviously, if only I wasn't that busy
