My friend is selling a laptop on eBay and will get paid via PayPal. But his PayPal account is limited as a buyer charged back. He's giving all the documents required to remove and this will take some time. Now he wants me to hold the money for him i.e, $850. Now, if I receive the money for him is there any chance of getting my PayPal limited ? I don't have a business account and so I'm worried if they will make my account limited. Any suggestion ?
Why don't he give a phone call to paypal and resolve his problem quickly If he has all details such as shipping details etc then no need to worry about it at all IMO.
Well, thank you very much for the info. that's what i was worried about. If i call them in advance and let them know about the deposit, will i be free of getting limited ?
I've seen many in DP whose account got limited due to deposit of $500+. That's what I'm worried about,my account was limited but it's restored when i sent them the utility bill, so if they limit my account once again it'll be a problem.
paypal did this to me once and it took nearly 2 months to get things back in order. Try to use someone else's paypal account or add to the auction that you only accept cashiers check or cash.
well it shouldn't get limited. you can receive the money and send him later. i did this a few times when a buyer filed a claim. but my friend account hasn't got limited up till yet.
But it's a Premium account and it's not a Business account, so am i supposed to receive bigger funds ?
As far as from my experience, Paypal will only limit an account if suddenly there's a big fund comes in from ebay item. If its not link to ebay (e.g: you sell on other website, a friend sending you money and etc) they will not bother. So beware if you sell on ebay and use Paypal. Eyes are on you!
