    First of all it's important that which CMS or Framework you used for your e-commerce site,
    If you are using any CMS like Magento, Prestashop or Wordpress than for all of them there are many Extension or Plugin is available,
    In which you just have to enter a parameters of your account, Which you will get from paypal,
    You can use paypal sandbox account for testing purpose.
    And if you are not using any CMS than , You have to read the PAYPAL developer documentation which is very easy to understand,
    You can use their API...
