1. Do I need any Licenses just start a website (with content) and display Google Adsense ads on it??? 2. Does having a website or blog with any advertising ads on it count as being an online business???? Which therefore you need to go through all that getting a license and registering with your tax government and business name and stuff??? Or it doesn't??? And that everyone is free to create as many websites and blogs as they want and create what ever legal content they want and display ads on the site and get paid and keep track of your expenses and revenue to make a net income for accounting/ and to only pay taxes and never have to worry about any business licenses????? 3. What is advertising income categorised as in your accounting info.. eg Is it commssion???? 4. Do i need any business licenses to do affiliate marketing selling other peoples products online for commissions??? And when i get paid do i need a business license???? I don't know??? I'm clueless and confused... 5. Or do i just have to do accounting and pay taxes for advertising income and sales income,, etc??? Reply ASAP!!!!
me personally wouldt use adsense, i hate google and they will delete your account for any little thing. i use adbrite, http://www.adbrite.com/mb/landing_both.php?spid=70740&afb=110x32-2 all the big sites that dont use adsense use adbrite. hope this help
I was looking on info on the business/ License side of having sites with adsense, abrite, or any advertising on your site!!! Plus, I already signed up to most of the popular and new advertising out there including adbrite. Yes, i really hate Google's strict rules and their rules to control publishers!!!!
If you want to get more answers to your questions, use ONE question per post Regarding one of your questions - if you earn any money, you have to report it on your taxes. Just tell your accountant about the income, and he'll know where to put it. Melanie
I don't know much about business licenses, but I do know that most affiliate programs (commission junction, amazon, etc) have you sign tax forms when you register with them. I think it is more like you are working for them, they pay you and you claim the money on your taxes. Here is someething from a website I use: 12.5 Small Business/Self-Employed/Other Business : Form SS–4 & Employer Identification Number (EIN) Does a small company need a tax ID number? A sole proprietor who does not have any employees and who does not file any excise or pension plan tax returns is the only business person who does not need an employer identification number. In this instance, the sole proprietor uses his or her social security number as the taxpayer identification number.
