    Hi everybody,

I just used NVU for the first time. I finished building my website. It took me a while. Now I am now having problems publishing it.

When I go to publish it it says to put the domain name, the site name, the FTP address and username and password of the host account. I go ahead and do that. Then a new small window opens that says Publishing. That is where I got stuck. It keeps on saying publishing forever. Nothing happens after that.

What do u think is wrong?

Also should my homepage (the mainpage) be an index.html or can it be anyname.

Finally if I was use to use Dreamweaver would this problem not occur?

    Thanks for your helps....:)

I can answer one question, you do have to have the homepage named index.html

Could be a firewall blocking the connection, a timeout, or incorrect FTP details and probably other possibilities too. I doubt it is the latter otherwise it should show the response indicating failed authentication.
