Need Help/Opions On My New Affiliate Site! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am new to web design, as well as this whole affiliate, but I have a domain that I was not using, and decided to try to earn some money, but I honestly have no idea what I am doing. I recently created www.bluntsbongsandbeyond.com I wanted a site that you could go to, and fine who has the best deals in regards to online smoke shops and tobacco pipes. I created a basic layout, and I think it looks pretty good, but now I am not sure what to do next? I read some SEO articles, and think I got the whole meta tags down correctly, but can someone check out my source and see? What should I do now? Obviously, my goal is to make some money, but I am not sure what is needed to get more visitors? I was considering creating some good banners and advertising the site on forums and myspace and other social networkign sites, maybe even Digg or StumbleUpon? If you guys were in my position, what would you do? Sorry if this has been discussed before, I searched and found some good info, but not exactly the info I needed, I figured I should make a thread and get some good advice from the pros! Thanks!
My advice would to be keep browsing the forum and reading every nugget of info. you can get your eyes on. You are asking a lot of questions and most of them are things you are going to learn over time not just through one forum post. Start with learning basic onpage SEO then move to off page and link building.
build more links. submit to directories. participate in forums related to your website. write good stuff and then submit to social networking sites. comment on related blogs. hope that helps.
Join stumbleupon.com and stumble every page in your site. You will get some traffic from that. Also, if you could write some articles and submit them to ezinearticles.com that wouldn't hurt either.
Just wait for minimum of 6 months ... remember you have to build trust about your website in the eye of search engines. Trust is important then building anchor text this article will be helpful !!
