So if you have been in the Website Reviews section lately, you can see that I am starting up my new project, www.missionenvironment.com. Thanks to many people here, it is about 99% complete.

I now started a blog at http://www.missionenvironment.com/blog/. I am using Wordpress. I chose a theme I thought would be easy to customize and was along the same lines of what I wanted my blog to be.

I need suggestions on what to do, mainly with everything on the right menu that I have no idea what it is and if I need to get rid of it or need to expand upon it. Also, I need to work on the header, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

i really hate that theme but that's just me.

If you want to remove content from the sidebar you just need to edit the sidebar template and remove which ever part you don't like

I am not fond of the theme either, but its simple and green - thats all I needed. Once I get a new header in there I am hoping its not that bad. Any suggestions on what exactly to edit on the right menu?

Most themes call the sidebar from a sidebar.php file, which is in the wp-content/themes/themename directory. Fire up your favorite editor, you can remove whatever you'd like from it, it's more than likely clearly labelled what is what. Save a copy of it, so if you jam it up you can start over.

Trial and error is the only way to go if you aren't sure exactly what to do, but you'll figure it out eventually and can always go back.
