Ok so here is my dilemma. My site: LinkItTo[dot]com is getting great amounts of traffic. it always has.

My problem is that im getting a grand total of 5 cents from adsense a day and 25 cents from adbrite. What am I doing wrong?

Keep in mind my goals are to bring the best, fastest, and user friendly proxy site to my users.

    Thanks in advance.

It's your sites design. I don't know where you used to put your adsense ads, but they would be below the bar, which means people just look at the bar, and go where they need to or click on one of those huge direct links instead of on your ads.

Your adbrite is all the way at the bottom. I run a 1280x1024 resolution, and i still had to scroll a whole page to see it.

Get a better design, one that is suited for a higher CTR, and you will get more money.

    Regards,
    Nick

right. im going for a user friendly and organized and simplistic design. I also dont want to bother my users with ads. There are CPM ads on each proxified page.

A site can be user friendly even with ads in a persons face. I dont know why you aren't getting a good amount on your proxified pages. Whats your traffic like? But the adsense thing is definately that you can't see your ads. They need to be in the persons face since it's a proxy site.

400-600 uniques each day with an occasional spike to 1000+. I get around 30 cents on better days and 20 cents on worse days.

It would be better if you had opened this thread in the right section which is "Adsense" Section.

Anyway, proxy is a very low paying Niche + the CTR for such sites is very low too.

Don't expect to earn lot of money from such Niche. Anyway, you can try to increase your CTR by optimizing the ads placements. Try different ad units like 336*280
