I am trying to take images and coreogaph them to a certain song. Will Windows movie maker do the trick? I would like to chage some of the pics to the drum beat of the song, but that seems to be difficult. Am I in over my head here?

    Thanks

Windows Movie Maker will work fine - I still use this to make a lot of my videos

Sony Vegas 8.0 is recommended for higher end, advanced video making. It takes a lot more time to use/learn. And it's not free.

Windows Movie maker is very basic. Something like trying to do rich formatting on Notepad.

As previous poster mentioned, for proper editing you need to go up the ladder a bit. I usually avoid Adobe products If I can, due to their unproductive nature. I truly recommend Sony Vegas (sony didn't develop it, they bought it about couple of years ago). It's easy to learn, very productive and it can be used for professional project as as well private ones.
