    Hi,

Are you familar with vector based applications?
Adobe Illustrator, IMO, is the best for making "real" logos.

Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, either one is great for making vector type images

Yeah if you want to make a Vector type logo it's better to use Illustrator or Corel Draw or you can also make some pretty cool logos with Photoshop as well.

    surfnearnzone,

You still have a long way to design good logos.

I checked you thread and those (first) covers aren't good. I saw that you did new ones but still in a low average level.
You got to train/experiment more to achieve high levels designs.

I will suggest you to use corel draw, It has the best tools IMO.
U can also go with the illustrator but in that u need to have a bit knowledge.

Personally I use firstly Corel Draw (I make a letters or figures what I need) and than I go to Photoshop to add effects for my logo.
There are a lot of programs for doing logo. I think more difficult to think up what do you need!
    :p

People can tell you need Corel, Photoshop or Illustrator to do it. But the most thing you need is creativity and skills. If you don't have a sense of art and imagination, there is now way you can come out with good design even you use Corel, Photoshop or Illustrator. I can do what you want. Kindly please view my portfolio here http://www.ecoverstudios.com/portfolio.htm Please pm me if you're interested

    well said by zhafran.
the first and foremost thing is creativity. If you have it, you can do a good job even with paintbrush.
