I am trying to make a portfolio home page to display images in an array of frame work, 5-6 images that are un-evenly sized and displaced by a series of crossing lines. here is an example of what im trying to do- the grey areas represents image slots. The thin lines represent borders which will have thickness when im done. (this is just an autoCAD layout i did to get the size/spacing where i wanted). I have now remade this layout in illustrator sized according to the pixel width/height for a web page. But I am not sure the best way to implement this layout. I brought it into Dreamweaver as a background image (floated) but dont know how to overlay images into the spaces i want. What is the right way to do something like this? I am open to all methods, I can easily start my process over. One step at a time, i know, but lastly: I would ultimately love for the image slots to individually act as slide shows that change in time with each other. Thanks for any help!!
I think my problem is a lack of understanding with the CSS positioning properties. Would css positioning give me the control to have the precise placement im going for here? Or does another method make more sense? I honestly am not looking for someone to explain everything, but more just to point me in the right direction to approach this. Thanks
If you can share the homepage url or the or the source code of your page then we might be able to help you somehow.
