    Hello all,
My Google traffic has been increasing dramatically, due to a lot of hard work. The problem is that once I defined my page hierarchy by adding <h1> and <h2> tags, the keywords within those tags are not coming up in search results. The content throughout the rest of my page is still getting good results, but not the content in the tags. Before I made them headers, they used to come up, but not now. I have asked around and no one can understand it eitther. Can anyone here help? http://www.asingularcreation.com/

    best regards,
    Joe

Hey, I have no idea how you can do that, but in the past few days your site has coming across while I was performing different search so definitely you are making it through Google :)

Thanks for the reply. I have a lot of content and many different pages for certain things such as link submission, promotion and other stuff like that. Do you know what type of searches were you doing to get my site?

    best regards,
    Joe

Do you have an example of where your keywords have dropped, i.e worked well for "infusion gallery" and now 0 hits for example.

One reason could be that you seem to have a lot of h2 tags followed by span tags try and this is purely an experiment placing the heading within a span and using a p tag so
    <span><h2></h2><p></p></span>
    Code (markup):
The other thought is make sure that subheadings are that try making sure you have more h3 then h2 then h1 etc.

    Just ideas to think over

Thanks for your reply. I do have examples. "Paintamerica" and "Words Without Voices" both use to get at least a second page on Google. Now, nothing. Infusion Gallery only comes up now on page 3 because it is in the text of the ad in addition to the header.

    best regards,
    Joe

well play with my above suggestion, also have a think about what else might have changed on the site that could be causing the drop, have you for example recently moved content around on the site? which linked to the front page, maybe a series of back links have been removed etc.
