I am hosted with a host providing cPanel. The problem i am facing is that i can not connect to FTP.
How do i get onnected to it?
Whenever i log in to my cPanel FTP manager something like this appears.(This example is of an demo account)

    FTP Account Maintenance

When logging into the ftp server please use the username exactly as it appears below. If the username includes "@", make sure to include it when logging in.
    Example: Use "john@doe.org", not "john".
    demo
    anonymous
    ftp
    demo_logs

Make sure that you connect to ftp.demo.com with your FTP client or you may not be able to login.

You can download your raw access logs at the following URLs using the login demo_logs and your account password:

    ftp://ftp.demo.com/demo.com
    ftp://ftp.demo.com/ftp.demo.com-ftp_log
    ftp://ftp.demo.com/demo.com

I tried connecting to FTP using ftp.demo.com and user and pasword. But it always says you are unauthorised.
How do i log on can any one help me out.

If you are the primary account holder, you don't need to look at the ftp manager.

Your ftp username and password should be the same as your cpanel ones
    Then the host is ftp.yourdomain.com
Also, you may have to set your ftp client to passive(pasv) mode

when you try to connect to FTP using ftp://domainname.com and the cpanel username and password, what error are you getting? does it prompt for username and password again. In this case, there is one cpanel 11 version where in you would require to add @domainname.com to the cpanel user to use it as a FTP user. Example if your cpanel user is xyz then your FTP user will be ...

Let me know if you trying to connect through browser or FTP client. Moreover, you should know that all browser do not support FTP.

    Thanks,
