Need Help with FTP and Wordpress Theme

I am stuck. In my FTP there is a folder for Wordpress but when I click on it there is nothing there but a file with my domain name on it. There are no files for themes, content, etc, all the things that the wordpress folder should contain. (I may not be explaining this very well) When I click on the file, all that happens is that a box comes up and begins transferring files, asking if I want to replace the file that is already there.

I am trying to change themes but I am now totally lost. My url is http:tenisserock.com.

    Can someone please help me?

what kind of ftp client do you use ?
there's an option in filezilla under "server" to "force showing hidden files"

do use Filezilla , connect it to the remote host. Then if you hve installed wordpress, follow this path .......... filezilla => remote host => click on root folder (i.e. '/') => /public_html .... here you would find themes, content, etc, all the things that the wordpress folder should contain.

have you by any means created a hardlink? a screenshot might actually help, but try filezilla first.

this is odd. I did as you said and went to my cpanel. This is what is there, when there should be files in tenisserock.com is shows that there is nothing. (this is what shows up when I click on the Wordpress folder.

    File Manager

Click on a folder icon to navigate.
Click on a name to view its properties.
    / .fantasticodata / WordPress / (Current Folder)
    Create New Folder

    Upload file(s)
    Up one level
    Create New File
    tenisserock.com 0 k 0644

This is the same thing happening with the FTP. I have used cpanel and FTP for my last blog and usually all of the files, theme, content, admin, etc, are in the Wordpress folder. I am using wordpress right now, using the theme provided, so I know I actually have files, I'm using them!

    I'm really lost now.

How is it possible for me to be blogging with Wordpress on my domain if I can't find the files that have to be there?

go to your cpanel root folder in ftp or file manager and click your domain name folder and the files should be in there.

I did. Downloaded the uploader to my computer. Tried to upload it to my domain CPanel Wordpress file but I get an error message. When I click on the folder for my domain in the Wordpress folder, the only thing in that file is the php text script.

This is just plain weird. Ugh.

I hope someone will read this whole thread before replying and see that it's not something I am doing, or at least I am pretty sure it's not. I have done this stuff before with another domain without a problem. It's hard to upload a theme to a file that doesn't exist. Not once yet have I seen any files for the Wordpress blog except that one string of php code.

I'd like to help, but after reading all the comments here I got confused. What web hosting provider are you using? And can you see if you have any folder called "public_html"? A good hosting setup should not have a "wordpress" folder in its root; the wordpress setup should be under "public_html" instead.
