Hey I anit very good with fonts and every time I make a design people always tell me they don't like the font I used.

What's your favorite fonts to use or what ones you think are really good?

Would appreciate it if you could help me out

    Go for simple and readable.

Logos can be slightly outside the box but they still need to be easily readable and simple.

You're not using a unique font for the main body of text are you?

Common fonts are best. Arial , verdana, futura, tahoma. Clients like stylish yet professional look not too funky stuff. Hope this helps :)

Myriad Pro - I couldn't live without it and use it in nearly everything I design. Looks great in all sizes, nice and clean.

I agree with using simple fonts, they're the safest to go because they work well with all sites. For me, I always use avant garde!

This is what I'd call our house fonts:

Sans Serif fonts: Interstate, Futura, Frutiger, Helvetica, Eurostyle (or microgramma), Franklin Gothic, Gill Sans, Impact
Serif fonts: Times New Roman, Century Old Style, Bembo, Caslon, Garamond
    Block Serif fonts: Rockwell, Lubalin
    Script: Snell Roundhand

well it depends on what type of images you are creating, for logos and web design...i try to use layers styles on everything and then when i get to the text, i can just paste in a layer style from one of the previous ones and it will blend with the rest of the design. but for large art or sigs, i like to place in white text and set it to a blending layer, then drag it below a few layers so it looks blended.

For common website design (mean nothing particularly artistic and the like), you definitely need simple and neat fonts - Arial, Verdana, Century Gothic.

However, your choice of font type depends on your website specifics - for example the font used when building a website of a historical museum may look a bit retro and still stylish and neat (calligraphic fonts work well in the case ;)). Yet, in the very general case, you'd better stick to simplicity.:)

Arial, Verdana, Times New Roman - these are the most favorite ones, but if you want your text to look stylish, not too jumbled up and at the same time pleasant looking for the reader I suggest that you guys try Sylfaen

It really depends on the design i'm making...If im making a grundged look for a design i ususally us 28 Days later. If im making animated txt..such as glitter i use impact.. Mostly though if im making logos etc i use Arial. its neat and easy read.

As i said...it really depends on the design you make. I also like Steiner :)
