Hi Guys I've taken on a project and think it may well be above me!! I need to combine three SWF files together so that they're all fading in and out at the same time on a page. This much I can do simply by importing the three SWFs into a new Flash File...well I thought I could! Because each of the files I've made have a long scroll going through it, which extends well past the actual visible image, when I import the three files they're all over lapping each other because of the scrolls! Am I making sense?? Heres the image I'm talking about, and the other two will be almost identical: http://fontmedia.com.au/corperate/parchem.html HELP please!! I'm on the verge of telling my client that I cant do it...but I HATE giving up on things! Thanks in advance Rach
mmmm hard to explain The size of the 'visible' area (as shown in the link above) is 286 x 155 but the scroll is very long (I've probably built it wrong in the first place) and scrolls into the viewable area, and back out. I was hoping that when I exported it to a new file only the visible area would be there - but its all there. Actually i'll upload it so you can see exactly what I mean - easier that way - link coming soon
ok I've uploaded my combined SWF - its basically got 3 of the same SWF in it http://fontmedia.com.au/corperate/parchem.html how do I hide the scrolls when they've left the area I want them to be visible in?? Your help is VERY much appreciated
So getting it straight, you want the Scroll to go from Picture to Picture, without it appearing in the Middle of the Them? And you want a Single Scroll. Right?
Sorry no...each image will have its own scroll. Three different images with 3 separate scrolls...but I only want the scroll to show over the images...any suggestions? Thanks in advance Rach
Well here's the easy way out. Import them as a Symbol (Movie Clip would do) and keep a Rectangle over the areas where you don't want the scrolls to appear. Do it for all 3. Do this while editing the Symbol. Furthermore, you can also limit the Resolutions of the Movie to say the Resolution of the Background pictures. That usually does eliminate the Things going outside it. Then try it out. I'm guessing you don't have .FLAs for these?
OK - I think I've pretty much reached my limit! I dont want to let this client down so I'm prepared to pay to get it finished. So far I've got 3 SWF Files - each of them need a little editing http://fontmedia.com.au/corperate/parchem.html 1. Scroll needs to be smoother 2. A pan and zoom effect needs to be applied to one of the images in the middle SWF file - I have a large version of the image to be zoomed 3. The three SWF Files need to be merged into one large SWF file to ensure that they all load at the same time The person who does this for me needs to be available to edit it if the client asks for adjustments that I'm not able to do - its pretty much already to their specification though so I cant imagine there would be much to do after these fixes have been done. If you think you can help, please get back to me with a price - I need to get this to my client by 9am Monday morning (Aussie time) which is in 21 hours. Thanks everyone! Rach
