Once you have submitted once, you have done all you can do. There is no help available.

Submitting more than once, just overwrites the previous submission with the new date, so if an editor sorts the pool of sites by date, you just moved yourself to the back!

I can not say for sure (I not an editor), but your site looks like a lead generator site and DMOZ does not list those sorts of sites.

Spot on Agent000 just leaves me to add if you submit too many times your site gets banned as spam.

It's NOT a queue though, as has been pointed out time & time & time & time & time again... SO if the editor does not sort by date, then chances are re-submitting will have no effect on when it'll be found & listed/rejected... in fact, some editors do not bother with the submissions at all, so assuming you are not submitting enough to get banned, then again, no effect what-so-ever of trying more then once.

Does anyone know how many sites get accepted vs how many are submitted?
Seems a bit like a low percentage play :(

I don't know how many they let in, I know I submitted my site over 8 months ago and still haven't gotten listed. Nothing I can do about it though so I have pretty much just resigned to the fact I won't ever be listed in DMOZ.

Not really worth fretting over either as there are more productive ways to utilize your time. If it happens, it happens, if not, no biggie. You can be very successful even without a dmoz listing. :D

Do not know about submissions, but DMOZ did have a net increase in the number of sites listed in January of over 9000! (the actual number listed would be higher as a number of old/gone/hijacked sites would have been deleted in that time).

and before gwold comes along ... yes we know you think that that is a lot of money made by editors.

and before someone accuses me of being an editor with inside info. I not an editor - I complied that number from publicly available info.

There is some general information about sites listed last year and how many editors were active on the official AOL/DMOZ blog post http://blog.dmoz.org/.

We don't, as far as I know compile figures on suggestions v used sites. We have no interest in such figures, editors do not have to use the suggestions pool when working a category.

You might find the whole of this post of interest, written by a DMOZ meta editor http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=13476494&postcount=31, here is an extract

As you have submitted there is nothing more you can do. There is no advice available. You have done all you can do.

Don't submit again is the best advice.
    1. If your site has been rejected, you will probably need to start again with a new site, new material about new topics to have a chance to get it listed.
    2. How do you know it failed? We do not send out emails if a site is used or not used. You have assumed, because it has not been listed in a week/month/year/decade [strike out the ones that do not apply]. In which case it could just not have been reviewed for a possible listing. If that is the case your re-submissions will look like spam and you know what we all do with spam.
    3. Follow Agent000's advice
    .

Repeated submission try in DMOZ will never be helpfull for a particular or definite site. Before u submit ur site in DMOZ, u have to keep few things in mind.Such as:

    1. Read the tearms and condition of DMOZ
    2. Read how to choose a proper directory for submitting ur site
    3. Read how to write a nice small compact title & Description for a site in the time of submission.
    4. Never try to misguided the DMOZ editor

If everything is being followed properly then ur site shud be submitted.

    Thank u

We don't mind ads - we mind lack of useful and unique content.
Sometimes, of course, the ads are so overwhelming that the content escapes notice :).
